Swedish Bkan 1A SPH 1/100

$8.00

Swedish Bandkanon 1A self propelled howitzer. An innovative design following the 1950s oscillating turret craze, the 50 calibre 155mm autoloading howitzer fed from a 14 round magazine located behind the breech. Starting with one round chambered, all 15 rounds could be fired in only 45 seconds. The magazine could then be reloaded in only 2 minutes with the aid of the built in hoist. Entered service in 1967. Only 26 were built. Removed from service in 2003. This model ships in three parts: hull, turret and cannon assembly. The cannon assembly drops into a cutout in the turret rear and can be friction fitted for easy removal for stowage, glued or secured with blue tac at any elevation. Turret has the same limited traverse as the original.
