German Raketen JagdPanzer Tank Destroyers 1/100
RaketenJagdPanzer 2 and Jaguar 1 and 2 tank destroyers. RJPz 2 replaced the failed HS.30 based tank destroyer with a much more reliable and maintainable chassis whilst retaining the armament of 2 SS-11 ATGM launchers and 14 stowed missiles rather than the previous 10. Entered service in 1966. Beginning in 1978, RJPz 2s were upgraded to the Jaguar 1 standard with additional armor and Euromissile HOT ATGMs. These continued in service, with upgrades, until the early 1990s. Finally, the old KanonenJagdPanzers were heavily refitted, with the obsolescent 90mm gun replaced with TOW, and later TOW 2, ATGMS. These vehicles served from 1983 through 1993. RJPz 2 model features separate SS-11 missiles, as insurance against breakage in shipping.
