Soviet T-10 Heavy Tank 1/100

$7.00

Soviet T-10 heavy tank with D-25TA 122mm gun and two DShk 12.7mm heavy machine guns. Began development in 1949 to replace the obsolete IS-2, the IS-3, which was plagued by problems with its construction and reliability; and the IS-4 which was too heavy for European bridges. While generally successful in this role, by the 1960s technological advances meant that main battle tanks such as the T-64 and T-72 were more mobile, cheaper and at least equally protected while possible future heavy tanks were too slow, heavy and expensive for marginal increases in combat power. T-10 entered Soviet service in 1954 and was withdrawn from active service in the mid 1960s and from reserve service in 1996. T-10A featured an improved D-25 with bore evacuator and increased fuel capacity as well as a single plane gun stabilizer. T-10M replaced the D-25 with the longer barreled M-62-T2 gun with an improved muzzle brake, added a 2 plane stabilizer, IR night vision and NBC protection.

3d SLA printed from grey resin under license from V. Mifsud's design in 15mm scale for your favorite wargames. This miniature will ship washed, cured and cleared of supports just like the photos. It will require some cleanup to remove minor printing artifacts. All miniatures are printed on order and shipped as quickly as possible in no more than 5 business days.
